Nerdcore Happenings

All kinds of things are happening on the MC Hawking/Nerdcore front.

First of all, there are currently two documentaries in production about Nerdcore Hiphop that feature the Hawkman. The first one, called Nerdcore For Life, is a film about the genre of Nerdcore in general.

The second documentary is called Nerdcore Rising and is more focused on MC Frontalot, but other Nerdcore artists (including the Hawk) are featured as well. You can check out their website here:

Also, Newsweek did an article on Nerdcore Hiphop in their Feb 5th edition. That is not a typo, I said News-Fucking-Week. MC Hawking has made it to Newsweek. Time man-of-the-year is just around the corner. You can see the Newsweek article here.

The Hawkman doesn't get much mention and, as a person of mixed race, I find the "white rap" angle to be rather annoying and off-target, but it's still mother-fucking-Newsweek so suck it.

Last, but certainly not least, I am in discussion with Brash Music about another MC Hawking album, hopefully to be released in the summer. More news on that as it comes in.
